Green waste bundles are collected three times a year, generally in March, July and December. Dates for collection are advertised 'Echo' newspaper, Rates Newsletter and on this website.
Green Waste is domestic garden refuse that shall be assembled in bundles, not exceeding 1.20 metres in length, securely tied with string or twine. The width of bundle shall be dependant on the method of disposal as directed by the Superintendent and shall be either:
(a) 0.40 metres for collected bundles; or
(b) 0.30 metres for mulching.
There shall be no limit to the number of bundles collected from each tenement.
Materials excluded from the green waste collection are:
(a) tree roots, stumps;
(b) grass, weeds or bagged waste; and
(c) Canary Island palm, Box Thorn, Pampas Grass and Rose Prunings.
The 2011 Green Waste collection dates are:
5th March,
30th July, and
3rd December.
The 2012 Green Waste collection dates are:
3 March 2012
28 July 2012
8 December 2012
