Permits

A permit is required for wedding ceremonies held on Council land, under Council's Local Laws. To apply for the permit and book your preferred location, complete the Local Law Wedding Permit Application form and forward it to Council at least three months before your preferred wedding day.

The information required on the form includes:

  • Precise location
  • Preferred date and time
  • Approximate number of guests
  • Whether you require structures to be erected, such as a marquee
  • Seating arrangements
  • Whether alcohol will be consumed
  • Music and entertainment arrangements

Council may also be able to assist with priority parking arrangements for bridal vehicles and/or access for guests with limited mobility.

At its Ordinary Meeting held on Thursday 14 December 2017, Council resolved to waive the permit fee for weddings on Council land in the Borough of Queenscliffe that are applied for and booked in the 2018 calendar year.
