Budget and Finance

The Local Government Act 1989 requires Council to prepare a budget for each financial year and provide the opportunity for people to make a submission under section 223 of the Act on any proposal contained in the budget.

Draft 2018–19 Budget and draft 2018–19 Implementation Plan

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on Thursday 26 April 2018 Council considered a draft Budget and draft Implementation Plan for the 2018–19 financial year.

Council presented the draft 2018–19 Budget and draft 2018–19 Implementation Plan at a public information session to be held at 7:00pm on Monday 7 May 2018 at the Town Hall, 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff. Submissions on the draft 2018–19 Budget and draft 2018–19 Implementation Plan were invited until 4:00pm on Friday 25 May 2018, and Council will hold a public meeting to hear submissions on the draft 2018–19 Budget and draft 2018–19 Implementation Plan at the Uniting Church Hall, corner of Stokes Street and Hesse Street, Queenscliff on Thursday 31 May 2018 at 5.00pm.

Council will consider the final 2018–19 Budget and final 2018–19 Implementation Plan for adoption at its Ordinary Meeting to be held on Thursday 21 June 2018 at 7.00pm.

2017–18 Budget

At a Special Meeting of Council held on Thursday 10 August 2017, the Borough of Queenscliffe adopted the 2017–18 Budget.
