The Queenscliffe Planning Scheme Review Analysis and Recommendations draft report has now been completed, and we seek to provide the community with an opportunity to review and comment on the report.
Community consultation sessions were held in June 2014. Residents and landowners can participate by making a written submission.
The Queenscliffe Planning Scheme is the principal tool for managing land use and development within the Borough. It is a statutory document that sets out the objectives, policies, zones and planning permit requirements for the use, development, protection and conservation of land.
The review is a statutory requirement that provides an audit of the performance of the planning scheme including:
• strengthening its strategic objectives;
• ensure appropriate controls; and,
• where possible, reducing the complexity of the Planning Scheme and unnecessary permit requirements.
