Plants and vegetation
Council works closely with local and regional groups such as the Bellarine Catchment Network (BCN) on vegetation and conservation management. Council values the contribution of community and volunteers in this work.
The BCN has coordinated efforts by a range of community groups to undertake ongoing sand dune revegetation works at Dog Beach.
Council also works with other groups to undertake weed removal and revegetation where required.
Residents are encouraged to grow plants indigenous to this area in their garden. For more information, see our Native plants web page.
