Queenscliff has three museums that can provide an insight into the fascinating history of this area.
The Queenscliffe Historical Museum opened in 1974, specifically to house socially historical materials.The museum is home to many thousands of items including photographs, documents, paintings, newspapers and toys, just to mention a few.
The Queenscliffe Maritime Museum opened in 1986. Since then, the museum has expanded to cover the maritime history of Queenscliffe, Southern Port Phillip and the Bass Strait interface.
The Fort Queenscliff Museum was established at Fort Queenscliff in 1982 to show the significance of the Fort in the local, State and national context and to provide a centre for historical research.
